A certificate of conformity is a registered installer's signed statement that a fixed gas installation complies with the applicable standard, SANS 10087-1, at the date of inspection. It is issued under the Pressure Equipment Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and only an authorised person registered through the LP Gas Safety Association of Southern Africa may issue one.
It relates to the installation, not to the property in general, and it is dated. It is not a warranty and it does not stay valid forever if the installation is altered afterwards.

What Commonly Fails

If you are selling and time is short, get the inspection done early rather than in the final fortnight. A cylinder position that has to be moved is a two-day job plus making good, and it is a bad thing to discover the week before transfer.
